When I lived in Spain, the Three Kings Day was a big event. It was the day when children received their presents and there was a parade where people dressed up as the kings would visit each village. Now I live in England and today is not recognised by anyone I know. Some people will celebrate Epiphany today, the day when the Holy Spirit entered the physical body of Jesus of Nazareth and at age 30, he became the Christ. This is the day when all Christmas decorations are taken down (if they haven't been removed already). Maybe this day doesn't mean anything to you. I live in England at present and here everyone is back to life as usual, Christmas is long gone.
I feel today is a special day. It's a day that marks the end of the 12 days of Christmas and the Holy Nights and the start of my 4-8 weeks of hibernation. I am going to incubate my dreams and hopes for the year and really nourish, replenish and rebuild myself. I am looking forward to it. Blessings to all, Carole
